Shobha Shakthi, the scriptwriter of ‘Sengadal’ said that the theme of the movie may not be new, but the approach is genuine.
I am disappointed with Malayalam movies of these days, said Vetrimaran. When compared with those I watched during my childhood,  today’s movies differ in class and quality, added Director of ‘Adukalam’, which won six National Awards this year, the movies which grew up watching Malayalam movies,.   Malayalam movies are following the wrong track of `masala’ movies. Adukalam has a perfect and logical climax, he said when asked about the odd ending of the movie.
