‘A Darling Lover of Silver Screen’, Released
Padmasree Mohanlal released a book on the life of veteran Actor Madhu, ‘A Darling Lover of Silver Screen’ (Vellithirayude MadhavaPournami), today (13.12.2011), at IFFK. He handed over the book, published by Kerala Chalachithra Academy, to the renowned Hindi film actress Shehnaz Anand at a function held at the Festival Office.
“I wish to see this master actor to be honoured with more awards” said Mohanlal. He also added that the industry is eagerly waiting for a Priyadarshan film starring Madhu.
'It had been a great pleasure to act with Madhu', said Shehnaz Anand, the heroine of the Hindi film Saat Hindustani, released in 1969, in which Madhu and Amitab Bachan acted with her. “We haven’t met for thirty years”, she exclaimed. Priyadarshan, Chairman, Chalachithra Academy, conveyed his felicitation.
Vinil Malayilkada, author of ‘Vellithirayude Madhavapournami’, Shathrughnan, who translated it into English (A Darling Lover of Silver Screen), Smt. Bina Paul, Artistic Director of IFFK and Producer Ranjith were also present at the function.
