Trigger pitch, a new venture started in collaboration with Indian documentary foundation and the Kerala Chalachitra academy at hotel residency tower has began today(Dec 13). It’s a dream come true to organize such a venture which was prevalent in America and Europe- said Javed jefrey while introducing the concept. Trigger pitch aims a frontline position for documentaries which deserves convincing consideration.
The project which was conducted as apart of 16th iffk aims suitable promotion for documentaries which portrays real life experiences. The forum which was conducted under the leadership of the founder of IDF- Javed Jeffrey who is a renowned actor, producer in the Hindi film industry. Six documentaries which sketch various social issues were presented before the representatives of eleven major corporate initiateives to promote documentary films.
Four Documentaries from India and each one from Taiwan and China were screened, which marked the beginning of trigger pitch.
Shashwathi introduced her documentary Please don’t beat me sir which delineates the born criminals of Chhara tribes in Ahmadabad. Through her venture she intends the upliftment of the neglected lower-class, added she.
A pestering journey directed by k R Manoj from kerala illustrates the adverse effects of pesticides. Director uses his film as an eye-opener of the society by linking the disasters occurred in Punjab as well as Kasargod.

The documentary “The Rat Race” illustrates the dirty face of the metropolitan city and sketches the life of educated youngsters who earns their daily bread by killing rats.
Mahindra Rise, C G H earth,  NDTV Outlook Business, Economic Times , Being Human, Indian Foundation for the Arts, Thermo Penpol , PVR cinemas, Panos South Asia, Big Cinemas  were the firms participated as the panel for the session. All films gained a mass applauds and attention. The panel members promised to offer the needed promotion and support from their side.
Jeru Mulla the head of the media department of Sophia polytechnic Social communications was the moderator.
Chalachithra academy chairman Priyadarshan, Secretary K G Santhosh , Artistic director Beena Paul  made their comments in regard to this at the session held at hotel Residency Tower.
