The project ‘Marketing Malayalam Cinema’ should help our film industry to find market abroad and vice-versa, said A.P.Anilkumar, Minister of Tourism. He was inaugurating the movie screening session of the,   ‘Marketing Malayalam Cinema’, new initiative by IFFK to promote   Malayalam film industry. The function was at Hotel Horizon, today (14.12.2011), at 11AM. He also performed the switch on ceremony of the screening.
“Cinema is an art form which is probably considered as the language of universe. So it is an ingredient to attract Tourism”, said Director Shaji N Karun, who presided the function. James P Mimikos, Producer from France, talked about how cinema can be effectively used in promoting tourism. He also said that India has huge potential for joint ventures.
The reason for the decline of foreign market for Malayalam cinema is its technical problem, which was always been a burden’, said renowned Director Kamal. Ravindran, IFFk coordinator, delivered the welcome speech. C.P.Padmakumar, Director, Alexandra Schott, Humboldt University Research Scholar, were also present.
